These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are written in English (US). To the extent any translated version of these Terms conflicts with the English version, the English version will control.
SponsorMe LLC, a California limited liability company (“SponsorMyEvent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates SponsorMyEvent.com and provides an online platform and related services that facilitate connections, communications, and sponsorship opportunities between event organizers and sponsors (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, creating an account or profile, or otherwise using SponsorMyEvent.com, you agree to these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, event organizers, sponsors, and other users of the Services (collectively, “Users,” “you,” or “your”). If you use the Services on behalf of a company, organization, or other person or entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms.
You represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and disclose information.
SponsorMyEvent may change, modify, update, add to, or remove portions of these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on sponsormyevent.com and update the “Date of Last Revision” or similar effective date. Where required by law or where we determine appropriate, we may provide additional notice or request acceptance of the updated Terms. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms become effective means you accept and agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services.
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Services, including but not limited to the SponsorMyEvent.com website, platform, accounts, profiles, event listings, sponsorship opportunities, communications, and related features.
The Services are intended to help event organizers and sponsors connect and explore sponsorship opportunities. Any sponsorship arrangement or other agreement between an organizer and a sponsor is solely between those Users unless SponsorMyEvent expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
The Services are intended for business and professional use by event organizers, sponsors, and related Users.
SponsorMyEvent may change, modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Services, or any portion or feature of the Services, at any time in its discretion, with or without notice.
SponsorMyEvent may assign or transfer its rights, obligations, or interests under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, reorganization, change of control, or by operation of law. Users may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without SponsorMyEvent’s prior written consent and any purported transfer is void.
Users may be required to register for an account or create a profile to access certain Services.
You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information when using the Services and to update that information as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
SponsorMyEvent may, in its discretion, market, promote, display, distribute, or otherwise use the Services, user profiles, event listings, sponsorship opportunities, and related content to operate, improve, and promote the platform, generate traffic, and increase visibility for users and sponsorship opportunities.
SponsorMyEvent may use websites, search engines, social media, email, advertising networks, third-party platforms, and other marketing channels for these purposes. The license granted by Users in Section 16 of these Terms extends to such marketing and promotional activities. Users may submit a written request to SponsorMyEvent to remove specific content from ongoing marketing materials, and SponsorMyEvent will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor such requests, subject to content already published or distributed.
SponsorMyEvent may offer optional marketing, advertising, or promotional opportunities from time to time. Any additional terms for those opportunities will be provided at the time of the offer.
Fees payable to SponsorMyEvent for use of the Services, if any, are as stated on the SponsorMyEvent website, in the applicable order or checkout flow, or in a separate written agreement. By selecting paid Services or otherwise incurring charges, you agree to pay all applicable fees and charges owed to SponsorMyEvent. You are responsible for providing accurate billing and contact information and for paying all applicable taxes associated with your use of the Services, except for taxes based solely on SponsorMyEvent’s net income. Fees paid to SponsorMyEvent are non-refundable except as expressly stated by SponsorMyEvent or required by applicable law.
SponsorMyEvent may change its fees, pricing, and payment terms from time to time. Any changes will apply prospectively after they are posted on the Services or otherwise communicated to you.
When a sponsor makes a payment in connection with a sponsorship transaction, payment is initiated through Stripe Checkout (Stripe’s hosted payment page service) and processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor, via SponsorMyEvent’s Stripe Connect (Stripe’s platform service that enables marketplace-style payments) platform account. SponsorMyEvent participates in the payment flow as the Connect platform operator only. SponsorMyEvent does not store sponsors’ payment card numbers or sensitive card authentication data in its own platform databases; all such data is handled directly by Stripe. By making or receiving sponsorship payments on the platform, sponsors and organizers each agree to comply with Stripe’s applicable terms of service, policies, and requirements, which are in addition to these Terms.
The organizer is the merchant of record and ultimate payee for each sponsorship transaction. Platform fees, commissions, or other applicable charges are deducted from the payment flow before funds are remitted to the organizer’s connected Stripe account, as disclosed through the Services or otherwise agreed by the applicable user.
If a sponsorship payment is refunded, reversed, charged back, or disputed by a sponsor or through a payment network, the organizer bears responsibility for the underlying amount of that transaction. SponsorMyEvent may recover any such refunded, reversed, charged back, or disputed amounts, together with any related fees, costs, or penalties imposed by Stripe or the applicable payment network, by deducting such amounts from the organizer’s connected Stripe account where permitted, or by other lawful means. Platform fees and commissions retained by SponsorMyEvent in connection with a charged-back or reversed transaction are not automatically refunded unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed by SponsorMyEvent in writing. SponsorMyEvent may suspend or limit an organizer’s access to the Services until outstanding chargeback or reversal amounts are resolved.
SponsorMyEvent is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions, delays, outages, errors, or processing failures of Stripe in connection with sponsorship transactions, to the extent such failures are outside of SponsorMyEvent’s reasonable control. This disclaimer does not limit SponsorMyEvent’s responsibility for its own operation of the Stripe Connect platform or for its role in the payment flow as described in this Section.
If any amount owed to SponsorMyEvent is not received, is declined, or otherwise fails to be paid, SponsorMyEvent may immediately suspend or terminate your access to the Services until all amounts due and owing to SponsorMyEvent are paid in full.
SponsorMyEvent may recover from you by any lawful means any amounts owed to SponsorMyEvent, together with any related fees, costs, or expenses incurred in connection with such recovery.
If you believe a fee or charge from SponsorMyEvent is incorrect, you must notify SponsorMyEvent in writing within thirty (30) days of the charge and provide reasonable detail regarding the disputed amount. Failure to notify SponsorMyEvent within that period constitutes your acceptance of the charge.
SponsorMyEvent may, in its reasonable discretion, review and respond to any such dispute. You remain responsible for paying all undisputed amounts when due, and SponsorMyEvent is not required to issue any credit or refund pending resolution of a dispute.
By using the Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from SponsorMyEvent, including but not limited to notices, account communications, service updates, support messages, and other communications related to the Services. SponsorMyEvent may provide notices by email, through the Services, by posting on the website, or by other reasonable means.
You may opt out of certain marketing or promotional communications where available, but you may not opt out of transactional, legal, security, or service-related communications.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, reviews, testimonials, or similar communications to SponsorMyEvent, you grant SponsorMyEvent the right to use them for business, marketing, and promotional purposes, subject to applicable law.
Subject to these Terms, SponsorMyEvent grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.
SponsorMyEvent and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including but not limited to all website content, software, technology, trademarks, logos, designs, text, graphics, and other materials made available through the Services, excluding content submitted by Users.
You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, display, sell, license, reverse engineer, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any portion of the Services or SponsorMyEvent’s intellectual property except as expressly permitted by SponsorMyEvent in writing or by applicable law.
You retain ownership of User Content you submit through the Services, subject to the license grants and representations set forth in Section 16 of these Terms.
Users may not access, use, or disclose any non-public information about SponsorMyEvent or other Users obtained through the Services except as strictly necessary to participate in the Services for their intended purpose. All prohibited uses of platform information and data are governed by Section 15.
You are responsible for using the Services properly, lawfully, and in accordance with these Terms. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that all information, content, listings, communications, payment information, and other materials you provide are accurate, current, lawful, and not misleading.
You are solely responsible for your own events, sponsorship opportunities, sponsorship arrangements, communications, payments, taxes, compliance obligations, and disputes with other Users.
Violations of this section may result in suspension or termination of your account or access to the Services pursuant to Section 21 of these Terms.
Organizers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their events and sponsorship opportunities. Sponsors are responsible for evaluating sponsorship opportunities and determining whether to proceed with any sponsorship arrangement.
Organizers and sponsors are each solely responsible for negotiating, executing, and performing any sponsorship arrangement between them, including all deliverables, changes, cancellations, and refund obligations as between organizer and sponsor. SponsorMyEvent is not a party to the sponsorship arrangement itself and assumes no liability for an organizer’s performance of event or sponsorship deliverables or for the outcome of any sponsorship arrangement. SponsorMyEvent’s responsibilities with respect to facilitating sponsorship payment transactions are as separately described in Section 7 of these Terms.
Users are responsible for maintaining the equipment, internet access, email account, software, and other resources necessary to access and use the Services.
Users must comply with all laws, rules, and regulations applicable to their use of the Services, their events, their sponsorship activities, and their communications or transactions with other Users.
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not, and may not allow any third party to, use the Services to, including but not limited to:
Violations of this section may result in suspension or termination of your account or access to the Services pursuant to Section 21 of these Terms.
Users are solely responsible for any content, information, materials, listings, images, logos, trademarks, descriptions, communications, or other materials they submit, post, upload, or otherwise provide through the Services (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant SponsorMyEvent a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, modify, and otherwise make available your User Content in connection with operating, providing, improving, marketing, and promoting the Services.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights and permissions necessary to submit your User Content and grant the rights described in these Terms, and that your User Content does not violate applicable law or any third-party rights.
SponsorMyEvent is not responsible for User Content submitted by Users and does not guarantee its accuracy, legality, quality, safety, or reliability. User Content is not confidential unless SponsorMyEvent expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, services, or resources that are not owned or controlled by SponsorMyEvent.
SponsorMyEvent is not responsible for the content, policies, practices, availability, accuracy, or security of any third-party websites or services. The inclusion of any link or integration does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation unless expressly stated by SponsorMyEvent.
If you believe that content available through the Services infringes your copyright, please contact SponsorMyEvent using the contact information provided on the website and include enough information for SponsorMyEvent to identify the allegedly infringing content and evaluate the request.
SponsorMyEvent may remove or disable access to content in its discretion and may terminate accounts of Users who infringe intellectual property rights.
SponsorMyEvent uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with the Services. For details on the types of cookies used, their purposes, and your choices, please refer to SponsorMyEvent’s Privacy Policy.
SponsorMyEvent’s collection, use, disclosure, storage, and protection of personal information is governed by its Privacy Policy. Users are responsible for reviewing the Privacy Policy and for complying with any privacy or data protection laws applicable to their use of the Services.
SponsorMyEvent may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if SponsorMyEvent reasonably believes you have violated these Terms, failed to pay amounts owed, created risk for SponsorMyEvent or other Users, or otherwise used the Services in a manner inconsistent with their intended use.
Upon termination, your right to access and use the Services will immediately end. SponsorMyEvent may remove or disable your account, profile, listings, content, or access to the Services, subject to applicable law. To request voluntary account deletion prior to termination, contact SponsorMyEvent using the contact information provided on the website. SponsorMyEvent’s handling of data following account deletion or termination is described in the Privacy Policy.
Termination does not relieve you of any obligations that arose before termination. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to payment obligations, intellectual property rights, user content licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, governing law, and miscellaneous provisions.
SponsorMyEvent may, but is not required to, provide support, maintenance, updates, enhancements, error corrections, or other changes to the Services.
SponsorMyEvent may review, approve, reject, edit, remove, or disable content, listings, accounts, or access to the Services, and may monitor use of the Services and take other action it deems appropriate to enforce these Terms, comply with law, protect the Services, or protect SponsorMyEvent, Users, or third parties.
SponsorMyEvent is not responsible for the storage, preservation, loss, or deletion of User Content, except as required by applicable law.

These Terms and any dispute relating to the Services will be construed according to and governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Subject to any mandatory rights that cannot be waived under applicable law, any claim or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
These Terms, together with any policies or additional terms referenced in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and SponsorMyEvent regarding your use of the Services, except to the extent you and SponsorMyEvent have entered into a separate written agreement that expressly governs a specific subject matter, in which case that separate written agreement will control with respect to that subject matter to the extent of any conflict with these Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed if necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
SponsorMyEvent’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
SponsorMyEvent will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform the Services or its obligations under these Terms to the extent such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond SponsorMyEvent’s reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, pandemic, epidemic, labor disputes, internet or power outages, or other similar events.
SponsorMyEvent will use commercially reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable following any such event. This section does not excuse or delay any user obligation to pay amounts due and owing.
Any user wishing to initiate a formal legal proceeding against SponsorMyEvent must first provide written notice to SponsorMyEvent using the contact information provided on the website, describing the nature of the dispute and the relief sought. SponsorMyEvent will have thirty (30) days after receipt of such written notice to respond.
If the dispute is not resolved informally, any claim or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved in accordance with the governing law and venue provisions of these Terms.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES MUST BE FILED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION FIRST AROSE. ANY CLAIM NOT FILED WITHIN THAT PERIOD WILL BE PERMANENTLY BARRED. THIS SHORTENED LIMITATIONS PERIOD DOES NOT APPLY WHERE PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SponsorMyEvent and its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, service providers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or relating to: your use of the Services; your content, listings, communications, events, sponsorship opportunities, or sponsorship arrangements; your violation of these Terms; your violation of applicable law; your violation of any rights of another person or entity; or any dispute between you and another User or third party.
SponsorMyEvent reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with SponsorMyEvent’s defense of such matter.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPONSORMYEVENT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, OR RELIABILITY.
SPONSORMYEVENT DOES NOT WARRANT OR GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL DEVICES OR SYSTEMS. SPONSORMYEVENT ALSO DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY EVENT, SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY, USER, PAYMENT, DELIVERABLE, RESULT, BUSINESS OUTCOME, OR USER CONDUCT.
SPONSORMYEVENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES, SERVICES, PRODUCTS, ADVERTISEMENTS, OR CONTENT ACCESSED THROUGH OR LINKED FROM THE SERVICES, AND SPONSORMYEVENT DOES NOT ENDORSE OR ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEM UNLESS EXPRESSLY STATED.
NOTHING ON SPONSORMYEVENT.COM OR THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ANY DESCRIPTIONS OF FEATURES, PLATFORM PROTECTIONS, TOOLS, PROCESSES, OR SUPPORT, SHALL BE CONSTRUED AS A WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE OF ANY KIND. ANY REFERENCE TO PLATFORM PROTECTION OR SIMILAR LANGUAGE REFERS SOLELY TO THE TOOLS AND PROCESSES THAT SPONSORMYEVENT MAKES AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICES AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A GUARANTEE OF ANY TRANSACTION OUTCOME, SPONSORSHIP RESULT, PAYMENT RECOVERY, OR OTHER RESULT.
The Services are operated from the United States. Users who access or use the Services from outside the United States are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights, warranties, or protections that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, regardless of where you are located. Where required by applicable law, mandatory statutory rights are preserved notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPONSORMYEVENT AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVENT CANCELLATION, SPONSORSHIP FAILURE, OR OTHER SIMILAR LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPONSORMYEVENT’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE AMOUNTS RECEIVED BY SPONSORMYEVENT FROM OR ON YOUR BEHALF IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICES DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE DATE THE CLAIM FIRST ACCRUED.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability to the extent it cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability arising from gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct.
